Bring naturalness into your home! With our natural fiber plant baskets, every interior will be a little bit warmer and cozier. The beautiful seagrass baskets are hand made according to traditional and authentic craftsmanship manufactured. The inside is lined with a plastic film to ensure soil and water cannot leak out and damage the basket. Seaweeds and river grasses are fast growing and abundant in the Bangladesh Delta and harvested manually by boat. Making baskets is both an agricultural and traditional process. Since grasses often grow back quickly and naturally in the flooded river delta, the production is very sustainable. Seagrass is a strong yet flexible material. It does not require any pesticides or fertilizers and is therefore not harmful.

About The Family House

The Family House is a company from the Netherlands that produces beautiful earthenware and ceramic products in Europe under their three own brands Pots only, Gina Da and 1240C Stoneware. All products are manufactured by Keramische Industrie Limburg BV. Real craftsmanship, made in Europe. The basketry is produced fairly and sustainably in Bangladesh.

The baskets do not like moisture, so please always keep your basket dry and only wipe it down with a slightly damp cloth if necessary. Please do not store any food or liquids in it.
