The "Sevilla" wool blanket is made from a mixture of Made of 50% alpaca and 50% sheep's wool. Sevilla is a classic blanket with a narrow herringbone pattern. All colors are woven on a white background, giving the blanket a light and delicate expression. The harmonious colors ensure warmth and cosiness and make the wool blanket an essential part of every home. Wool is a unique natural material that can keep both cool and warm thanks to the special structure of the fibers, which can trap a lot of air. The alpaca fibers are smooth, supple and flexible. Therefore, a plaid or blanket made of alpaca is particularly soft and shiny. With its softness and warmth, this blanket is truly unique.

Silkeborg Uldspinderi only uses alpaca wool from Peru, where the vast majority of the alpaca population has its natural habitat. The skills of local artisans have been honed over generations, enabling the raw fibers to be transformed into beautiful textiles of exceptional quality.

Blankets made from wool and alpaca fibers are naturally stain resistant, so most stains caused by juice, coffee, etc. can be prevented by gently blotting the surface with a dry cloth before the stain penetrates the fibres. Wool and alpaca fibers are excellent at absorbing moisture and are, to a certain extent, self-cleaning. We therefore recommend airing the ceilings frequently. Blankets made of 100% wool can be washed on a wool cycle at a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius and with a maximum spin speed of 600 rpm. It is important that the blanket is laid out to dry once the wash cycle is complete. Please do not hang up the item, but lay it flat - e.g. on a drying rack or similar. Make sure the rug is completely dry before folding. If the ceiling is heavily soiled - eg with red wine or oil - we recommend that you have it dry cleaned.
